Parking Off Campus Options? (student resident)

hi! so im a second yr hoping to bring my car to school. from previous emails, undergrad students have to fill out a waiver for a parking permit. from my understanding, i dont have the qualifications for the permit (job is on campus, dont officially take care of my parents, etc). also, i have junior standing, though i dont think that matters anymore with how ucsd has changed their SR permit requirements.

i need my car as i have off campus health insurance and i commute back home weekly to check on my parents as they are older. does anybody have advice for keeping a car but not being able to keep it on campus?

i have been looking at other parking garages but they are more pricey and/or don't allow 24 hour parking.
