top vlad?

Yo, so I just watched Elite500's Vlad guide, and in it he made it pretty clear he didn't like (or at least enjoy) top Vlad. I just came here to ask why? I'm like disgustingly new to the champ, and only like playing toplane, so I was just wondering if there was something I was missing?
