Scheduler refused to schedule anyone who wasn’t a favorite.

I’ve long since quit Walgreens, but I want to get this off my chest.

Our scheduler refused to give hours to anyone that wasn’t a personal favorite of hers.

I assume in an effort to make them quit.

(Isn’t refusing to schedule someone constructive dismissal?)

Management avoided doing anything at all, that looked like management, except for being the customers’ piñata.

So I didn’t even bother bringing it up. I am under the impression that literally every single other person complained.

Anyways, I finally get scheduled, and when I show up to work management is apologetic-what went wrong, they had no idea I was unhappy (yea right). I asked them what they were talking about and they told me that I had transferred to another store.

I told them to stop being silly, they refused to give me the hours, I called in daily trying to pick up sick hours-they should know that since they refused to let me talk to them and would only transfer me to talk to the scheduler. I was constantly told that there were no hours so I picked up other stores that were short staffed.

My manager got a sheepish look as I saw the puzzle pieces come together in their head.

I straight out told them that I wasn’t being scheduled because I wasn’t favored-and management needed to get on that-not because of me, but because corporate would take our hours next year if we didn’t use them this year.

Management did what they normally did which was nothing and we lost more than 200 hours.
