From one Chinese car to another; need your opinions please.

So my dad is currently driving a JAC S3 which he got as a company car in Dec 2020 from his workplace and has hit 70k kms as of January 2025. His workplace has now announced that they’ll be giving him either a Beijing U5 Plus or a Beijing X35 since his car is pretty old.

Now my dad doesn’t like Chinese cars a lot, but he uses them because he doesn’t want to shell out money for a brand new car, and also that everything about the car is covered by the company, which means he doesn’t have to worry about anything.

This will be our third Chinese car, previously having had a Geely Emgrand 8 from 2015-2020 and currently the S3. The upgrade is expected to happen in a month or two. We have had no issues with both cars and they ran reliably without any major issues.

So BAIC owners, I would like to know how these two cars, whether they are good or not. I know people have a hard on for hating Chinese cars, and rightfully so, but I feel the current wave of cars is really shaping up to be competitive enough with the Asian, North American and European counterparts.
