Is Wuthering Wave's changing from it's initial vibe?

I've recently picked up the new update; don't get me wrong the game's improving and has been on an uphill since the first version with music and voice acting to only name a few.

But Rinascita (which looks gorgeous) is extremely different from Jinzhou as a whole, while the latter is quite grim, modern/futuristic looking and littered with ruins, this new area looks... nearly fantastic in itself and way less modern. (granted it's literally one ocean away so theres bound to be differences, but come on, it looks from a totally different era as a whole or even a different game from the first region we were in)

So i was wondering if WuWa was going for a different vibe than the initial post apoc modern look it had, which is honestly what set it apart from other game.
