Yet another R v Python (or other)

Saw other posts, but they're older and I thought things may have changed. My P&C insurance company is moving away from Legacy SAS and is deciding between R and Python. Assuming no-one at the company knows any programming, which would you recommend? Other suggestions welcome. I've seen good things about Julia but I'm worried there won't be much support for a niche area like P&C actuarial.
