I scratched my boyfriend’s car. what do I do?

My boyfriend recently got a new car which is a 2017 Camaro ss 50th anniversary. We were putting gas and I was already very upset and stressed with outside things it was very windy and I didn't notice so I opened the door and then it hits a small pole. The scratch isn't big it is really minor but I do understand he's really upset. I've been making suggestions like paying for his car to get polished and/or painted. I also called around a bunch of places and found a body shop where we can get either or. I understand since it's a 50th anniversary they had a limited color done on it but even he himself said the scratch is minor. It's on the passenger door handle. He's very upset and he thinks they might ruin the paint match and it will look even worse. Whenever I saw the scratch it just looked like a small dirty spot. I don't know what to do. How do I fix it? Please help I’m very upset :(
