Do you wear a tank top in public?

I don't feel confident to wear a tank top in public, unless I'm at the pool or beach. I don't really have the body for it. At pool and beach I would wear one, but not to go into town and run errands or shopping. On warmer days I would prefer a t-shirt or button up shirt with short sleeves. Do you wear tank tops at all? Do tell!
