more plants?

new tanks is finally all good and ready to go for my buddies, getting some more corys today, should i get more plants? I know they like hiding and so do bettas, personally when my other tank was more planted my betta never hid he just swims around. Obviously I want my fish to be comfy please leave some suggestions :)
