Actors who could have played Indiana Jones

I just watched Temple of Doom with a friend and we talked about ways the franchise could have gone, and something that I floated was if in 1991 they did a fourth one but Spielberg gave his blessing to a new director who cast Tommy Lee Jones, and if it went over well then Indy turns into a literal James Bond: new creatives and actors come in, stay around for a bit, and move on.

So I guess my question is this: In a world where they just continue churning out Indiana Jones movies like they're Bond films, who is someone you could see being a genuinely great Indy?
