Well it ain't 'Free Willy'

I love diving deep into small horror subgenres. One of my recent obsessions has been the natural horror or 'nature run amok' subgenre. I love finding out just how many animal species have been included in this type of film, and the most recent one is Orca, featuring, well, an orca of course. It seems like the heydays of the genre is the 70s around the time of Jaws, obviously, but there have been a few modern ones too like Slotherhouse, which I found pretty funny. Another fun observation is that pretty much all of these film have a Lee Gambin commentary (I have his book on the shelf too). Dude must really have loved this particular subgenre. I haven't had time to dive into the commentaries yet, but one day I'll do a nature horror film marathon with commentary by the good Gambin.
