Graduated to rubber bands

So I graduated to rubber bands yesterday and have been having headaches all day yesterday and today! My teeth feel so sore and sensitive. I'm back to not being able to eat much and I'm having trouble flossing. Does the soreness and sensitivity ever go away with these rubber bands? And are the headaches correlated or not?
