Joey diagnosed with HCM

Hey guys this is my two year old lilac point british shorthair. He was diagnosed with HCM (heart failure) he is now on 6 pills a day. Does anyone have a cat who has similar issues? If so how long does he have left to live? The vet told me he has 2 years max.
