Different Universe! Karate Kid Legends & Cobra Kai

I just got confirmation from a producer of Cobra Kai producer(who shall remain unnamed) that these are different universes. So for us Cobra Kai fans, we should not expect any connection whatsoever to Cobra Kai. I’m sure Jon Hurwitz and the Cobra Kai writers have been instructed to not say anything that will hurt the movie but the reason they can’t say much is there is no connection at all. I would take that “3 years after cobra Kai” timeline with a grain of salt.
