LAN only option

I recently upgraded my son’s computer’s motherboard, GPU ram, and power supply. This was done by a professional. When we went to go login, it didn’t even allow Wi-Fi as an option. It only shows LAN as an option. Is there anyone that can help me? I would really hate to have to go back to geek squad for this. They estimated 2 to 3 day turnaround and it took them eight maybe nine days.
