CGM and no comb for beginner wavy hair
How did you go from combing your hair everyday to combing only once a week in the shower? is it even healthy? I always knew I had wavy hair but didn't think it requires a special routine. Just got a curly cut and I feel my curls look more defined at the ends. Top is mostly flat. These are the things I tried
- I tried scrunching my hair in the shower with and without conditioner. When I scrunch with conditioner I feel that the conditioner does not get washed off properly.
- I switched to a curly hair shampoo by Moxie. It is pricey but does a really good job at moisturising my hair.
- I tried to comb damp hair after shower instead of wet comb. This causes my waves to look very stringy. Even the hairstylist who cut my hair styled it very stringy. I like big defined waves.
- The hairstylist who styled my hair also used a leave-in conditoner and heat protectant before diffusing. I am not comfortable with the idea of having too many products on my hair that makes it difficult to comb through.
- I don't think I can stop combing my hair every day. My waves are more defined at the ends. Top is mostly flat and frizzy. I can't show up to work looking like a homeless person if I don't comb my hair.
