Benefits exaggerated?
Personally, I didn’t see any difference in my mental health or energy levels when I quit. If there was a difference, it wasn’t significant enough to matter. Now, I do admit that I’m back on caffeine, and my decaf phase lasted only nine months, but it was a full zero-caffeine nine months. I quit on a whim one day, without tapering, just to see if I could do it. Then decided one day to stop. Are these benefits really significant? The only thing that really changed for me was now I rarely drink soda, which even when I did/do, it's always diet.
