Why Delhi police is checking every random bag ?

I was at the railway station waiting for my train , police came "Hey what's in this " I said " Just clothes" They just grabbed my bag and opened it without asking me , then left without closing it.

I am so embarrassed right now. Everyone was looking at me like I am the Dawood or what ? and one girl who was sitting beside just left.
