Is there any point in proposing a second time?

Recently got engaged. We're happy and excited to take that next step, but we both found the proposal itself underwhelming and disappointing. I honestly haven't been able to stop thinking about it and I just feel extremely bad. He says he'll ask me again "properly", but is there any point? I already said yes and we told everyone important to us that we're engaged.
