Genuinely sick of seeing BrandoSando recommended to people looking for fantasy romance.

So I've read Mistborn and Warbreaker, both of which I've seen recommended a lot in this sub (along with, mysteriously, Stormlight Archive) in a very general way, regardless of the asker's preference. Somewhat understandably, his name always pops up in here because he's very popular right now -- but I'd really like if we could all come together and accept that he is popular for his fantasy, *not* his romance.

I can't emphasize enough how cookie-cutter, modest, and procedural his romance subplots are written -- and, to be clear, they are *always* subplots, never center stage, never given the full attention of an actual "fantasy romance" that a lot of people in this sub are looking for. His work is literally the room temperature tap water of romance writing. I don't understand why people are getting "This is a good fantasy book!" mixed up with "This is a good fantasy romance book!" but it needs to end -- stop recommending it to *everyone* regardless of their preferences. If they want some good virginal inexperienced/deeply modest teenage romance, sure, by all means. But oh my god, the romance in his work feels like searching for the fruit flavoring in LaCroix water. Enough. I beg you.

Edit: To be clear, my point is that he is not for EVERYONE. Stop recommending him to EVERYONE regardless of what they're asking for. If someone is asking for fantasy romance that's deeply entwined with the main plot and contains a lot of adult themes, don't recommend him! I don't care if he's good! That's not what the person is looking for!

Edit: I'm begging you guys to read the post.
