Finished reading both books!

After so many recommendations I finally read the books and I loved them! I don’t normally dive into fantasy except for Harry Potter and I was never really interested in dragon lore so I didn’t think I would like the books. I was hooked after the first few chapters of book one. The world felt similar to Harry Potter and divergent, which I love both of those and I was surprised to learn things about dragons that I didn’t know! I love the connection violet has with xaden and their dragons, I thought it was cool all of them can telepathically communicate. I thought the second book had a slow start but towards the middle started to get very good! I loved the plot twists and all the spice 🌶️ I’m now getting ready to read ACOTAR I hope it’s just as good!
