My engine has failed after 8 months since I bought the car from a professional handler

I’m in a bit of a bind and could use some advice. I bought a used car from a professional dealership 8 months ago, and last week the engine completely broke down. I’ve been taking good care of it and haven’t driven it much, so this was a total shock.

I’m trying to figure out if the warranty I got with the car might cover this. Has anyone dealt with something similar? Is an engine failure like this typically covered under a warranty?
