Is it too late?

I thought I got all my LOR submitted to usc. But apparently, none of my recommender wrote me one yet due to hectic schedule. (Sent the application back in October). I tagged up with one of them and he asked me if it’s too late to write me one. The due date for usc was Jan 15, but not quite sure for LOR. P.S. letter of recommendation are optional for fall 2022 applicants.
