Vet for diabetic cat

Does anyone have a good vet recommendation for treating my diabetic cat? My cat was diagnosed around a year ago and it's been difficult getting it managed for him. I'm looking to get a second opinion from another vet in the city, and wondered if anyone's got good experiences they could share. Thank you
