What is wrong with the current state of AAA hockey in the US?

In my opinion, AAA hockey across the country needs fixed. Every state has different rules, and here in Illinois it’s political as hell when it comes to national camp selections, team selections, etc. Hell, the youth hockey directors for local AAA programs make $200k+ off of team fees.
