I'm so glad I didn't discover InZOI sooner.
I'm excited to play this in 53 days. I discovered the game just about 5 months ago and I'm glad I didn't discover it sooner because then I'd have to wait longer. This subreddit was created on 27th June 2023, so I'm guessing the game was announced around that time. That means some of you have been excited and waiting for this game for over a year longer than I have.
I've managed to keep the game in the back of my mind while enjoying other games. I'm very excited to design houses/apartments and ZOI's. I played The Sims 4 a bit but was dissatisfied with the minimal customisation options available. I remember downloading probably 1000 CC's from TheSimsResource, watching SO MANY ADS which were like 10-15s long for each CC. I still barely played.
I'm sure InZOI will be a totally different story for me. There already seems to be much more options available in early access, and I love that it's more realistic looking. I even saw a hair slider that controls length, so 1 straight hair option could have a wide variety of lengths, I believe I saw this slider for clothes too. This would drastically reduce the amount of default content/custom content that needs to be created. Instead of having 3+ different hair options that are the exact same style but different lengths, we only need 1 because of the sliders!
I didn't play The Sims 4 much, but I can see this level of innovation clearly hasn't reached EA yet. Even if it did, they'd probably put it in a damn DLC.
If I were EA, my timbers would be thoroughly shivered. (Partly joking, I understand that The Sims will survive, the same way Pokemon did when Palworld came out. But InZOI has so many more amazing features compared to The Sims 4.)
