I Went on Bumble, and All I Got Was Secondhand Embarrassment
I don't know if this belongs here, but I wanted to share it. I already posted this on a Bumble community page (or whatever it's called), but this story deserves a little extra air time.
So, this was my first time using Bumble, and honestly, the experience was wild. Like, I knew going in that there are guys on these apps just looking to fool around, but I didn’t think they’d be so casually disrespectful about boundaries.
Matched with this guy—seemed decent on his profile, so I figured, why not? We started talking, and not even 5 minutes in, bro was already talking about giving me backshots. I’m sorry, what? Like sir, have you seen your build? You’d be wheezing halfway through (not body-shaming, but c’mon, some self-awareness would help).
So I asked him straight up, “What are you looking for?” and he hit me with the classic, “Just wanna have fun and see where it goes.” I was like, “Same, not looking for anything serious right now,” because I just got out of a relationship. But THEN, this man comes out with, “Two strangers on a boat, they might kiss.” I swear, I wanted to KMS right then and there. WTF is this vibe?
I literally told him I’d rather drown in the ocean, but he kept pushing with more absurd stuff. This time, I gave him a straightforward, no-nonsense response, and he got salty, saying, “Bruh, fine!” Left him on read after that, because what else do you even say to that?
Dating apps are already a gamble, but this was next-level ridiculous. Honestly, some guys really think they’re going to sweep women off their feet with this awkward, forced sexting game. Spoiler: it’s just cringe.
(P.S. I’m a girl. Don’t let the username/ name or whatever it's called confuse you!)
