Is moving states for a first job too much?
Title says it all, more or less. My industry (CS) is pretty non-existent in my state, if you're entry level. Maybe 90% of the jobs available are seeking senior level developers with upwards of 5+ years experience (and I was 18 five years ago). Even entry level jobs are all..."3+ years of professional experience ONLY" so it's been tough. I sometimes see jobs in other states that explicitly state "0-2 years/no experience needed (we want to train you)" (not often, mind you, but I do happen across them now and then).
But I don't know though. I keep thinking "well what if I flop and get fired, then I'm just stuck in California or whatever". I don't have much in the way of savings to aid multiple trips back and forth between states...
Thanks!
