Ping at Latin American South from US East Coast?

So weird question, my friend with whom I’ve been playing LoL for over 10 years is moving from the USA to Argentina and they will be transferring their account to the LAS server.

Before we find some other game to play, I was wondering, if I were to transfer my account as well to continue playing with them, would my ping be awful or still playable? I know it’s a weird request and people often joke about hating LoL but we really have a lot of memories together playing this game and would love to continue playing the game.
