Should I main cassiopeia?

I am a mid main and in bronze. I currently main orianna but I find that I can't really carry games and do many things while being ahead. I also play some veigar and have pretty good winrate with him because when I'm ahead I usually dominate the games. But I'm just bored of veigar and don't have the excitement to play him. I found cassiopeia pretty fun and also way better for a solo carry than orianna. I want to main her but don't know how to go about it. Do I just take her right into rank or play normals first. What would you say?
