What are your favourite moral lessons to draw from Tolkins writing?
I feel like the LotR books fill a spot in my life which is filled by the bible (and other religious texts) for many people. I am curious to see what things other people draw from the books to apply in their life.
I was recently in a group project with a team member who had a lot of other obligations to fulfill and therefore could not help a lot with finishing the project. Getting the project done, I felt reminded of Sam carrying Frodo up Mount Doom, which made me feel better about having to do more work.
Maby if we get enough good moral lessons, we can make a religion out of this.
