Text Editor with Horizontal Page Display +Scrolling?

Before I buy an ultrawide monitor, I hope to discover a text editor or word processor which will display all pages in a document horizontally (like paging through a PDF) rather than in the usual vertical-scroll style.

Word for Windows, e.g., has a "side-to-side" feature—but they haven't implemented that on macOS. LibreOffice Writer also has its "Multiple-page view," which isn't what I'm looking for.

My text-editing needs are modest, so I'm ready to test lesser-known programs in hopes of finding this feature & making maximum use of my ultrawide real estate … can anyone suggest an app?
