No pain on vacation, pain back at home.

I (38f) have chemo-induced peripheral neuropathy. Stopped chemo in November 2023 and have been recovering since. I have a lot of lingering pain and numbness in my legs and feet. Lyrica stopped working a couple months ago.

My parents took us on a really wonderful trip to Sicily a few weeks back. I had zero pain in my legs while we were there. Mild numbness in my feet, but I physically felt better than I have since before my diagnosis. I was even able to drink wine, which visually has me immobilized the day after. I didn’t need my cane!! I was hoping it was sort of a reset, but I was wrong. I’m now back home in Canada and I’m so achey.

Does anyone have any idea what l could do to try to replicate my Sicilian success? I’ve been eating well, staying hydrated, going on walks and not smoking pot. I could probably extend the walks, but I would love more ideas (beyond relocating, which is not out of the question, although it seems extreme!). I’m getting desperate.

Thanks!
