Do I need to use a chemical hose?

Picked up a craftsman C950.672160 pressure washer today for a good deal. Didn't notice it was missing the chemical hose. I'm used to using my crappy electric pressure washer and can't really find much about this hose. Does it have to installed or can this unit be run without it? Any assistance is greatly appreciated
