Cardio and yoga are absurdly humbling
Been a barbellcel for a decade, but now that I'm in my 30s I figured it would probably be a good idea to try and avoid chronic joint pain and heart failure so I've switched my focus to cardio and mobility and holy shit I've never felt like more of a pussy. A 10 min bike ride with some moderate hills will have me wheezing aputtering. The *beginners* yoga class that I take with exclusively middle aged and elderly women has me lookin like I'm having an epileptic fit while I try to hold poses for 30+ seconds. I am now in awe of every cardio bunny and yoga mom I see.
It turns out there's more to physical fitness than lift heavy thing for reps, who knew?
