Advices// new into sales

Hi all, its my second day as a sales engineer, my background has always been tech but somehow landed a new job in AbuDhabi as a sales engineer and it is a really good offer I couldn’t decline it. The manager is keen to help me and give me all the tips needed for the job, but for now I am just studying the products and getting myself familiar with it. I always prefer to have different opinions and advices, so I am here to ask for some. What is it like to be a sales engineer and will it be too challenging to land new clients/buyers? Thanks
