Do you think the characters would take harder drugs, if... (they could, they were acceptable, etc.)

Hey everyone,

I've been seeing a lot of drug-related discussions on this sub, and it's got me thinking. As we all know, drug use is a big part of Skins and a significant aspect of Bristol's culture. Shoutout to u/ManicPixiRiotGrrrl for sparking this thought in my mind.

Throughout the show, we see the characters using a wide variety of substances. It makes me wonder: if Channel 4 had allowed it, do you think we would have seen some of them dive into harder drugs like meth, crack, or heroin? These substances weren't shown on the show, but could they have been part of the narrative if there were no restrictions?

I'm not from the UK myself, so I can't speak to how common these drugs are in Bristol. What do you all think? Would the characters have gone down that path if it was more acceptable to portray on TV?
