Dream feed vs 5/3/3?
Advantages? Disadvantages?
My LO is nearly 5m and typically eats twice at night — once around 1/2 and once around 4/5am — after a 730 bedtime. My suspicion is that she only needs one as she’s rarely hungry in the morning and has occasionally gone with only one around 3/4 instead.
Since she is already doing a sort of 5/3/3 a lot of nights on her own, I’m inclined to make that the initial night feeding plan for sleep training. But on occasion she’ll get up and act like she wants to eat at 11 or 12 m, so my husband would like to try doing a proactive dream feed instead (the TCB method). I’m worried that adding a dream feed early will undermine her long stretch (usually happening at that time) or lead to her simply eating 3x instead of twice.
Any thoughts from others on how you chose when to do the remaining feed(s)?
