Reddit is on a huge banning spree of NSFW subs

Massive (and ongoing) ban wave of NSFW subreddits over the past few hours. Was this ordered by advertisers? Ordered by the US government? Who knows. Would not be surprised if there's a banwave coming soon of "politically undesireable" subreddits (like this one).
Edit: the banned subs seem to have almost all been unbanned, Nothing Ever Happens Ltd shares up 500%
Apparently it was some sort of bug (according to the admins, anyway), though who knows what the truth is here
