Beginner tan lotion

Hi, I just started my tanning journey. Today was my second sessio. I have bought tanning packets but I know I want to buy a full size lotion as it is cheaper than buying the packets everytime. I want a lotion that is going to help me get my base tan, but also can be used after I get my base tan. Most lotions are like $40-$80 so I want to make sure I can use it overtime. I may need a 2nd lotion after I get my base tan, we will see. Any suggestions? Bronzers? Intensifier? Help!
