What’s in my terrarium?

I swear that wasn’t there yesterday. I’m assuming it’s some kind of mold. I’ve had a tough time with this unsealed terrarium. First the log grew mold and killed the first fern and after replacing the old fern and baking the log now this thing popped up. Should I just remove the log and start again? I’m also going to remove this fuzz ball.
