RAI date moved after 6 days of LID

I just need to vent because I'm so upset and angry and I know you'll all understand

I was supposed to be scheduled for RAI this coming Monday and I'm currently on day 6 of LID to prepare.

The secretary of my oncologist is THE stereotypical idiotic, gets nothing done doctor's secretary.

I've called her, the doctors other secretary, the main hospital I'm a patient at for oncology and the private hospital I've been referred to for the RAI every day since last Thursday. In total I've checked and it was over 70 phonecalls to try to get this sorted because kept sending me in circles saying they couldn't be the ones to book it.

The secretary never requested my slides from the hospital that performed my TT (and the slides were necessary so I could be discussed on the tumour board today and the RAI dose chosen in time for Monday).

I asked her several times a day since last Thursday to please request them, per the doctors wishes, and she just never did it. Kept saying things about not knowing what RAI is and asking if I wanted my original pre-diagnosis biopsies sent over. I kept trying to explain to her what needed to be done for my RAI to go ahead and she just didn't care at all (very typical UK medical secretary stereotype)

Well it turns out she didn't get it all sorted until yesterday (she was supposed to request them last week) so the slides didn't arrive in time to be studied and now my RAI is delayed by over a week because that's the next available slot.

So I've been doing LID for no reason for 6 days (and I'm vegetarian since childhood so more difficult than usual) and now I have to start all over again from scratch this weekend!!

I'm just so upset and angry and broke down crying to one of the nurses on the phone just now when she told me it's been pushed back.

I can't believe that the incompetency of one person has put my life on hold for another week and dragged out this entire process.
