The problem with tuning in TXR2025 and how it effects rival difficulty (Tangent)

While I can see why it was dumbed down, the tuning is laughably inefficient. A lot of the cars in this game do NOT need chassis reinforcement and a majority of them can lose a solid 100-250kg of weight without actually having to put a lot of money in.

Then there's the suspension tuning. Most budget kits come with at least SOME form of camber adjustment, usually in the front. Doesn't cost that much more to add it to the rea given there's no solid axle like the AE86 (and yet we can still touch it after but I digress, not the issue). Same goes for wheel fitment. That's done with buying wheels and not suspension parts.

Lastly, the power. This one ties in to the game's difficulty as well-

Not only can we not drive viable cars until beating the halfway point in the game- but we can't actually make them, ya know, fast. At all. Almost every car unlocked after the final stage can make well over 400PS at the crank with just basic stuff like fuel injectors, exhuast and a tune. Labor aside, that's like 1200-2000 dollars of parts at MOST given it's not a car that actually gets around that ballpark stock. The incorrect power figures depicted in game are somewhat to blame for this, but it doesn't help the tuning approach in this game, especially with cars that start out naturally aspirated.

So yeah, cars are slow. But what's that gotta do with the rivals?

We have ENTIRE TEAMS consisting of classic and modern higher end sports cars with actually jack shit done to them to make em faster. Not only is it beyond easy, but it's so aggravating to race a 280 horsepower car against a 250 horsepower car on such a long road like the Wangan or Yokohane. If Give them the same benefits we'd get by making tuning something that actually changes a car's attributes, the battles wouldn't seem like such a chore going so painfully slow. Dejected Angel's car is about the low end standard of what you get when you actually put the amount if time and money into cars like these and I think because if that, we should be teetering around thay point by the time we face her where she would have something even fastwr than now, as you'd expect from a boss. Give her an REW Swap with a big single tirbo, midnight Cinderella gets her 20B back, maybe give jacknife and bloodhound superchargers or something- it's just so mind numbingly bleak and I'm glad it's over for now.

This game is still unbelievably fun but this is my biggest complaint about the game as an enthusiast AND a gamer aside from the skill point system. Maybe I'm just a massive speed freak and my standards are too high but I can't be alone.
