What is going on with my cartridge?

I bought a replacement for my cartridge - unfortunately, I don't know much about the arm as I have inherited the system I'm operating, all I know is that the cartridge came in a little box that said 'Shure n70-b', so that's what I googled when shopping for a replacement. This is what happened earlier today. Before this, I was able to listen to about 20 minutes of music without problems. Any suggestion?
