Seb derm is typically an oily skin condition, so be careful with heavy balms. I’d say look more for lightweight moisturizers. Cetaphil, Cerave, and Aveeno are good places to start. Also La Roche-Posay. I know it’s confusing because your skin might feel dry and cakey, but it’s actually probably oily and a bit inflamed. Are you on any prescriptions for SD now?

My GP really didn’t tell me what it was so my fault for not doing much research! I was given an anti fungal cream to start with, I was also given a steroid cream but trying to avoid that because I’ve seen what steroid cream can do to skin if used too much so want to avoid that! I’ve seen La Roche-Posay be recommended but didn’t want to spend loads until I knew it was good for seb derm. Thank you for your help!
